創作概念：
2018年的夏天氣溫異常的熱，韓國首爾市的氣溫達到38.8℃，江原道洪川郡的氣溫高達40.3℃，創下韓國111年以來的最高氣溫紀錄。但這種異常的氣候不只發生在韓國，在西班牙48度、日本40度、中國東北37度、北極32度。今年的夏天，整個北半球都被高溫壟罩，許多地方也都打破了高溫歷史紀錄。有研究顯示，如果全球持續暖化下去，那北極的海冰可能於2040年左右完全消失。我們可以從IPCC預測的全球平均溫可以明顯看出來在2000年後溫度持續上升的趨勢，這是可預測且明顯的環境警訊。

全球暖化造成的不僅是溫度升高而已，也導致了極端氣候的發生，且對於自然生態的環境與我們日常社會經濟的運作產生很大的衝擊。在這最熱的2018年，我來到了南韓釜山參與國際藝術家進駐計畫。在進駐期間新聞不時報導著因極端的高溫而傷亡的消息，手機也接收到無數次高溫的警訊。水是山很重要的元素，但今年許多山裡的溪水都乾枯了，水徑裡不再是沁涼的溪水，而是一陣陣襲來的空氣熱浪。
我走進了九德山，在這原本應該常年有水的路徑上漫步，在這最熱的夏天興起了此「看不見的溪流」大地藝術計畫。我將這乾枯水徑附近的樹枝集合在一起，在溪床裡將樹枝相互交織在一起，創造出一股28公尺長，如水流般蜿蜒的自然雕塑。再作品的形體造型完成後，我在這山中撿拾蒐集著枯黃的落葉，將這些黃色的葉子舖蓋在雕塑上。透過物質在時間流經的現象集合方式，如水滴般地聚合成一條金黃色的河流自然雕塑。隨著時間的流逝，這條金黃色的河流雕塑的顏色漸漸由黃色轉成褐色，並融入環境之中，猶如一條「看不見的溪流」。
在創作中，我成為那人與自然之間關係的媒介的與訊息的傳遞者，而在傳遞過程中生成的作品就像花一樣短時間綻放後又回歸於大地，將時間現象融入生命那巨大的寂靜之音中，創造一股人與自然不可或缺的內在湧流，彼此共振合鳴，也是人類意識與自然法則交戶作用下的紀錄。

Unusual heat happened in the summer of 2018. The temperature in Seoul, South Korea reaches 38.8 °C, and the temperature in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do is as high as 40.3 °C. This unusual temperature set a record for the highest temperature in Korea since 111 years. But this unusual climate does not only occur in South Korea. It is 48 degrees in Spain, 40 degrees in Japan, 37 degrees in northeast China, and 32 degrees in the North Pole. But this unusual climate does not only occur in South Korea. In the summer of 2018, the entire northern hemisphere was covered by high temperature, and many places broke the high temperature history. There is the studies have shown that if the global warming continues, the Arctic sea ice may disappear completely around 2040. We can see from the IPCC's predicted global average temperature that the temperature continues to rise after 2000, which is a predictable and obvious environmental warning.

However, global warming is not only caused by rising temperatures, but also to extreme weather. And it has a great impact on the natural ecological environment and our daily social and economic operations.
In this hottest 2018, I came to Busan, South Korea to participate in the international artist residency program. During the period of the program, the news reported that there was news of casualties due to extreme heat, and my phone received numerous high-temperature warnings. The stream in the original mountain was dry, and the water path was no longer a cool stream, but the waves of air heat. Water is a very important element in the mountains. I faced to this water path with no water, so I had this "invisible stream" land art project idea.
I gathered the branches near the dry water path and create a 28 meter long stream-like natural sculpture intertwined in a creek bed. And collect the yellow fallen leaves of the mountains, and lay these yellow leaves on the sculpture. I tried to get together through the time phenomenon of natural matter like water droplets. I created a golden river natural sculpture through the collection of natural matter time phenomena, such as water droplets merging into rivers. Over time, the color of this golden river sculpture gradually turned from yellow to brown and blended into the environment and it becoming part of the dry riverbed landscape like an "invisible stream".
In creation, I became a medium. I became the information messenger of the relationship between human and nature. The work as the flowers blooms for short time during the transfer process and return to the earth in the end and incorporate the phenomenon of time into the huge silence of life, creating an indispensible inner stream of human and nature that resonates with each other. It is also the reveal of the interaction between human consciousness and natural law.

2018년의 여름은 유난히도 더웠다. 서울은 38.8도를 기록했고 강원도 홍천은 무려 40.3도까지 기온이 올라갔다. 이런 이상기온현상은 한국에서 111년만에 처음으로 보인 기록이었다. 하지만 이런 현상이 비단 한국에서만 일어나는 것은 아니다. 스페인 48도, 일본 40도, 중국북쪽 37도, 북극은 32도의 온도를 보였다. 2018년의 여름, 북반구 전체에 높은 기온현상이 있었고 이로 인해 많은 장소들이 피해를 입기도 했다. 지구온난화가 계속된다면 2040년쯤 북극빙하가 다 녹아없어질 것이라는 연구결과가 있다. IPCC (기후변화에 관한 정부간 협의체) 가 예상하는 지구의 평균온도는 2000년 이후 계속해서 상승하고 있는데 이는 자연의 경고임이 틀림없다. 나는 물이 마른 흔적이 있는 곳에 나뭇가지를 모았고 28미터의 긴 강물의 흐름처럼 보이는 자연 설치작품을 만들었다. 그리고 떨어져있는 노란색 나뭇잎들을 모아 작품위에 올려두었다. 작은 물방울이 모여 강을 이루듯 자연의 시간현상을 통해 나뭇잎들이 작품에 합쳐지기를 바랐다.
시간이 지날수록 설치작품 ‘황금빛 강’의 나뭇잎 색은 노란색에서 갈색으로 바뀌어갔고 이는 자연에 녹아들어 ‘보이지 않는 강의 흐름’처럼 매마른 강의 한 부분이 되어갈 것이다. 하지만 지구온난화를 일으키는 원인에는 높은 기온뿐만 아니라 극한 날씨도 영향을 준다. 극한 날씨는 자연생태환경과 우리의 일상, 사회, 경제 전반에도 큰 영향을 미친다. 아주 뜨거웠던 2018년 한국의 여름날. 나는 국제레지던스 프로그램참가를 위해 부산에 왔다. 레지던스 기간동안 뉴스에서는 폭염 때문에 사상자가 생겼다는 소식을 전했고 폭염주의 안내문자도 여러번 받았다. 작품이 설치된 장소에는 원래 강물이 흘렀으나 지금은 메마른 듯 했다. 강물은 더 이상 시원하지 않았고 그곳에는 뜨거운 공기만 가득했다.
물은 산에서 아주 중요한 존재이다. 나는 물이 메마른 강물의 흔적을 보며 “보이지 않는 강물의 흐름”의 아이디어를 내게 되었다. 작업기간동안 나는 한명의 매개자가 되었다. 인간과 자연의 관계를 연결해주는 메신저가 된 것이다. 꽃과 같은 이 작품은 짧은 시간동안 피어나고, 인간과 자연이 연결되어있는 내면의 흐름을 만들어내며 결국 우리의 삶이 거대한 침묵 속으로 흘러갈 것이라는 시간현상의 인지와 함께 작품은 다시 자연으로 돌아갈 것이다.
