2018 陽明山竹子湖國際環境藝術暨蓪草重生計畫

創作概念：
竹子湖是臺灣北部大屯山與七星山之間的一個山谷，位於陽明山國家公園內。早期曾經是火山爆發後所形成的天然堰塞湖，如今湖水已然退去，留下淤積肥沃的土壤。竹子湖過去曾栽植大片箭竹及孟宗竹，風起時竹子隨風起舞有如湖面波浪而得名。竹子湖的海芋從1969年由日本引進白色海芋栽培種植到現在，已經有四十多年的歷史。2003年開始有了竹子湖海芋季的活動，與在地農民一起參與並帶動其產業與文化。現在儼然成為竹子湖主要的經濟作物，也是北台灣目前主要的海芋產地。
花在植物生命的過程中，只是短暫的一瞬。然而，花的地位與其重要性有史以來就随着人類社會的發展不斷提高，也成為精神面不可缺少的一環。花被用以代表一個國家、民族或地方的精神，也各有其不同的象徵意義。在宗教與神話裏頭，也常見許多關於花的形象與故事，逐漸地成為社會、物質與精神文明的象徵物。
海芋的花語信息是專注於你周圍的美麗，並記住它即使消失一個季節也會回歸。當你穿越世界並迎接你的挑戰時，堅持你的天真和優雅。
欣賞是種生活哲學。除了考慮對象本身之外，也必須考慮外在於對象物的因素。我們總是看見我們想見的，所意識到的，而容易忽略周圍不斷發生的美麗。而觀看總是帶著我們慣性的思維並牽動著行為的發生。
作品座落在原本官方設立在竹子湖的海芋田裡的觀光打卡景點。我將原有的設施移除，並試圖在這原有的功能價值下增添點趣味與內省的作用並將作品命名為「洞察」。這是一個以竹子湖當地竹子所製作成的自然雕塑。它像是個眼球，也是一個以水與花的流線所構成的棲息空間。而這作品內外的空間如太極，陽中有陰，陰中有陽，而人在其中。我們坐在眼球內，靜觀著這片土地與文化價值快速地變動的社會體。我們能夠感受到時間的流動和宇宙的整體性，而並不只是三維生命體而已。在萬物無常不斷的變化下仍然存在一種自然法則。人在作品裏頭，觀看外在自然的同時也用心眼觀照著自身。在賞花的同時也是洞察內心的時刻。也喻以人類在地球生命時間的短暫停留與其精神性的長存。

Bamboo Lake is a valley between Datun Mountain and Cising Mountain in northern Taiwan and is located in Yangmingshan National Park. Long time ago, it was a natural lake formed after the volcanic eruption. Now the lake has receded, and leaving behind fertile soil. In the past, Bamboo Lake had been planted with Arrow bamboo and Moso bamboo. The bamboo danced with the wind and it looks like the waves on the lake. So be named in the Bamboo lake. The Calla lily of Bamboo lake has been Introduced by Japan since 1969. And be planted here over 40 years old now. In 2003, it began to have the activities of the Calla lily festival in the Bamboo lake, and it participated with the local farmers and stimulated their industries and culture. Now it has become the main economic crop of Bamboo Lake, and it is also the main producing area of the Calla Lily in northern Taiwan.
In the process of plant life, it is only a brief moment. However, the status and importance of flowers has been continuously improved with the development of human society and has become an indispensable part of the spiritual aspect. The flowers are used to represent the spirit of the country, the ethnic group, or the place. They also have different symbolic meanings. In religion and mythology, there are also many images and stories about flowers that gradually become the civilization symbol of the social, material and spiritual.
The Calla Lily flower’s message is to focus on the beauty around you, and remember that it will return even if it disappears for a season. Hold on to your innocence and grace as you move through the world and conquer your challenges.
The appreciation is a philosophy of life. It considers the object itself and must also consider factors that are external to the object. We always see what we want to see, what we realize, and it is easy to ignore the beauty that is constantly happening around us. And the watching always affects the behavior by our inertia thought.
The work is located in the sightseeing and the "Facebook check-in" space that were originally being installed in the Calla lily field in the Bamboo Lake. I removed the original facility and tried to add some interest and introspection under the original functional value and named the work "Insight." This is a natural sculpture made from the local bamboo of the Bamboo Lake. It is like an eyeball and constituted with the streamline of the water and flowers. The space inside and outside the work is like the Taiji, there is yin in the yang, and there is yang in the yin, and people are among its. We sat in the eyeball and watched the land quietly. Thinking about the social and cultural values change rapidly. We can feel the flow of time and the whole of the universe, not just the three-dimensional living bodies. There is still a natural law under the constant changes of all things. People sit in the works and look at the outside nature while also looking at themselves with their heart. While enjoying flowers, it is also the moment of insight into the inner. It refers to the short stay of mankind on the earth's life time and its spiritual eternal existence.
